Foster Nanny disclaimer: I forgot to take my proper camera and so most of the photos are mobile phone camera quality - sorry! Some of the other photos are borrowed from the web :o)
What a very exciting day I had today!!!
First of all, we went in the car and I love riding in the car. And then the car stopped and I got put into my special backpack (I say "back"pack but it has to be carried on the front of whoever is carrying me because I keep trying to jump out if I see another dog even though my harness is clipped on to the pack). This time my Nanny was carrying me. Then we got on to a great big red thing that was like a car but not a car and it was huge and lots of other people got on with us. A very nice lady talked to my Nanny all about me while she gave me lots of fusses and I decided that she could be the first member of Prince Hugo's Saturday Fan Club :o) I was very comfy in my padded carrier on Nanny's lap, but then the big red thing stopped and we got out.
And suddenly there were lots and lots of people everywhere!!!
The fountains in Bristol City Centre
I knew that we were there to listen to some music that Jacob's friends were going to be playing, but I didn't know that there were going to be so many people there!! My nanny asked a lady that she knew what was going on and she said that it was the ninth Unite Against Fascism march and now they were having a rally to raise awareness. Everybody was very excited and shouting, so I joined in and barked and barked and barked.
The stand for the Green Party
We listened to a man talking about the bad things that BNP do and then a very cool choir called the
Red Notes did some singing.
While the man was talking and the ladies singing, lots and lots of people came to say hello to me. The police ladies came to talk to me and told me how cute I was and asked Nanny all about me, and then a police man came over as well and even he said that I was lovely. Lots of children asked to say hello to me and my Nanny had to nearly sit on the floor so that they could stroke my head ;o) Some very nice girls came to say hello to me and they took my photo on their phone cameras and said that they were going to tell all of their friends about me. A very lovely lady gave me kisses and told me how very special I was.
And then a very nice man made a fuss of me. He was meant to be talking to a lady about something important but he was sort of talking to her while he was making a big fuss of me. Then he said that he was sad because he wanted a dog but his wife wouldn't let him have one. I thought that was sad because he was a very nice man and he'd have been a good doggy daddy. Anyway, he went away but when he came back he had a very pretty lady with him who said "oh I want one!!" and the man punched the air and grinned at me. The very pretty lady was his wife and she stayed to talk to Nanny about me and rescue dogs and she thought that I was lovely so maybe the very nice man will get a dog after all! Imagine how surprised I was when the man jumped up onto the back of the lorry and started singing! He was the singer in the big band that were playing before Jacob's friends! His band was called
First Degree Burns and they played some very cool music that Nanny said is called reggae. Everybody was dancing :o)
The nice man and his band playing
Mummy Sophie had a yummy thing called an "ice lolly" and it smelled so yummy that I just had to taste it. Luckily, she loves me very much and let me share it with her.
After her ice lolly, she had an ice cream and that smelled even yummier so I decided to pinch a bite of that as well! She was a bit cross about that because I managed to have a bite even before her. I think she just needs to eat faster or share properly.

Jacob's friends played then, but they only played 2 songs and their music was VERY loud and it hurt my ears.

The nice man's band played again after that but we decided to go for a walk and get back on the big red thing to go home.
As we were going to start walking again, I spotted a very naughty collie dog who was running around without his mummy or daddy and was not on his lead and he kept running into the road! He looked very familiar - he was white with a few black patches and was very handsome. Then I remembered that he looked just like
Minnie-Moo's very handsome brother who is called Sno, but Sno is a good boy and this dog was very naughty! I was very cross with him being so naughty so I leaned right out of the backpack and shouted at him to go and find his mummy or daddy and get back on his lead. He did not take any notice of me so I shouted louder until people started laughing at me and then I shut up. Luckily, his daddy heard me shouting and went to fetch the naughty dog.

We walked right along the docks in the middle of Bristol and there were lots of boats and things called "ferries". Nanny promised that we could go for a ride on one some day. I don't know if I'll like it on a boat!
The bridge with horns that we walked past
Some ladies all dressed up in silly costumes stopped to make a fuss of me and tell me how cute I am. Nanny said that they were called chickens or something...
And then I had the shock of my life! I bumped into the world's biggest beetle!! It was GIANT!!! I was a bit worried and tried to run away before it could eat me!
I had a lovely little paddle in the fountains, but got a bit cold from being in the water so was very happy to go back into the backpack. I also had to stop to look at this giant mirror ball.
I had *such* an exciting day! Lots and lots of people joined the Hugo's Saturday Fan Club ;o) I'm so glad that I've got Mummy Sophie and Nanny and Jacob to look after me and take me on so many adventures!!
